 Description

The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite, SAP and an aptitude and a willingness to learn any new software needed for the job.  Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, self-motivation, efficiency, good organization and planning, diligent follow-up, attention to detail and an ability to prioritize multiple tasks are a must.

The position reports to the Plant leader.

Responsibilities

1.     Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.

Metrics

·         Participates in regular safety meetings

·         Ensures rigorous compliance to standard safety procedures and OC corporate policies.

·         Provide leadership in safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines.

2.     Knowing Customers

Metrics

·         Have an intimate knowledge of the customers to whom the BM China supply chain team provides services so that they can provide differentiated value to our customers.

3.     Directing Operations

Metrics

·         Work as NLT member to drive excellent business result

·         Attend monthly NLT meeting to develop plant operation strategy to support the business strategy

·         Actively participate in plant level Safety/ TPM project to drive manufacture excellence

4.     Purchasing

Metrics

·         Take responsibility of supervising & leading economic purchasing activities of the plant.

·         Direct price negotiation, decision of counting method & purchasing condition & selecting vendors for Raw materials, utility, packaging, consumables and freight.

·         Monitoring procedure of import, inventory, storage and transportation for purchasing items, ensure its Ｏn-time delivery.

·         Make sure all purchasing in alignment with souring & procurement policy & SOX.

5.     Demand & Supply Planning

Metrics

·         Collaborate closely with local and AP China supply chain team to make raw materials, finished goods and spare parts planning, and ensure reliable and timely supply to satisfy customer needs.

·         Support China commercial function in supply chain related discussions/feedback with customers.

·         Identify supply opportunities and risks, provide advice and develop strategic plan to plant leader & AP China supply chain team,

6.     Logistics & Warehousing

Metrics

·         Be responsible leveraging network and process resources along with best practices to ensure the successful achievement of the business targets.

·         Have primary responsibility to initiate, lead and implement strategic and tactical warehouse and transportation initiatives to improve safety, customer service and reduce operating costs.

·         Communicate well with commercial, and works closely with many functions across the plant & supply chain team to manage inventory, freight, logistics vendors.

·         Implement logistics cost down & inventory control projects and initiatives.

·         Assure accurate inventory, proper stocking methods, efficient material flow and timely communication.

7.     Leading and Developing Talent

Metrics

·         Set goals and objectives for the logistics team to support the business needs.

·         Evaluate the team’s performance by executing performance appraisals and appropriately communication.

·         Develop logistics team’s functional knowledge, ability and skills.

Job Requirements

Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Management, Materials Management.

·         3~5 years logistic working experience and 2 years in foreign manufacturing company at least.

Knowledge and Abilities:

·         Safety Awareness and Pro-activeness and exhibits safe behaviors while working

·         Proficient in both oral and written English

·         Excellent computer skills, especially in SAP system

·         Good analytic and problem-solving abilities.

·         Good reading, writing and speaking skills in English.

·         Good communication, presentation skills, and good interpersonal skill.

·         Adaptability
