The EHS Manager is the technical resource to ensure plant to achieve objectives in the areas of Safety, Health, Environment, Fire, Quality and Productivity.
He/she needs to maintain / modify systems and procedures to meet the OC EHS ob
The position reports to the Plant Leader and dotter line report to BM EHS Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
Provide leadership in safe working practices, promoting safety awareness and performance for self and others in all areas of responsibility to achieve full compliance with site and company standards and guidelines.
· Lead and support safety initiatives and processes to drive towards zero recordable injuries.
· Effectively communicate Owens Corning’s stand On safety to ensure employees believe in and behave in a manner that supports our stand that all accidents are preventable, safety is everyone’s responsibility, and that working safety is a condition of employment at Owens Cornng.
· Incorporate the safety stand and safe improvements into all people-related initiatives.
· Live the Safety Stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities
Metrics
· Safety metrics – RIR, first aids, near misses, SAFE and Critical 6 Scores
· Add more if possible
2. Knowing Our Customers
Has strong Customer Focus and will be instrumental in translating customer requirements into manufacturing procedures and systems with active interface with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service Teams. He will play a key role in resolving customer (internal and external) complaints.
Co-ordination of analysis of various Statutory EHSparameters. Ensure time bond compliance.
Understanding of the SAFE, Critical 6 and EMSsystem and translate the requirement in plant.
Work On new ways of cost efficient operation &minimum Downtime of M/c.
Ensuring stack and ambient air monitoring in plantis be completed as per regulatory requirements and a record is maintain,making sure that limits are not exceeded.
Establish and monitor safe and excellent HouseKeeping practices in his work area.
Coordinating, leading and guiding SafetyInspection, checks and Audits in the plant.
EHS budget preparation and monitoring.
Tracking capital expenditure relegated to EHS.Ensure there effective and time bound utilization.
Monitoring, supporting,guiding for meeting time line of all the EHS activities.
Managing and administratingdepartmental activities.

3. Environmental Health and Safety System improvements to exceed basic compliance standards.
· Strong background in management systems including ISO 18000 (Safety), 14000 (Environmental) and 9001 (Quality).
· Strong background in occupational health and safety, ergonomics and behavior ba
· Experience with environmental waste management and industrial hygiene.
· Embrace the requirements of the OC Environmental Management System and other environmental system components.
Metrics
· Zero environmental non-conformities for facility.
· 100% retention of required environmental records such as daily reports.
· Establish corrective action plans from Internal and External System ISO audit results and execute On-time completion of the results.
4. Directing Operations
Continuous follow up and enhancing the SAFE score,Critical six and EHS system compliance.
Tracking applicable environmental regulations anddoing the necessary tasks for fulfilling them.
Interface with regulatory authorities forenvironment related matters.
Implementation and maintenance of the environmentalmanagement system.

· Driving OC Global EHS initiatives.
· Compliance with Legal and Standard compliances.
5. Disability Case Management Leadership (occupational and Non-occupational)
· Ensure consistent application of applicable disability case management policies as they relate to both work related and non-work related injuries
· Facilitate dialogue with all stakeholders to ensure timely and safe return to work and appropriate and cost effective claims management and actions consistent with policy and procedures.
· Facilitate modified duties program.
· Work with our third party risk manager for effective claims management.

· Fit duty return to work cases.
· Modified duties program tracking for successful integration back to full duty.

7. Developing safety leadership capabilities in our people.
The regional safety leader will develop skills and grow capabilities in the assigned facility, including:
· Coach, mentor, and re-direct personnel in the plant in order to develop Extraordinary Leaders
· Assessing effectiveness of plant leadership from a safety perspective and providing development and recommending changes as required.
· Develop and implement training programs in a coordinated effort with appropriate plant personnel
· Continually reinforce the company’s stand On safety and always recognize employee accomplishments and contributions.
· Empowers employees to prevent or stop and correct unsafe acts or work conditions
· Builds organizational capabilities through people, technology, and process management

8. Oversee legal compliance and adherence to OC policies and processes.
Lead and manage visible risk and the processes for adherence to OSHA regulations. Provide expert technical support in identifying and resolving critical regulatory issues.
· Oversee safety policies, systems and processes to ensure the local compliance as required.
· Ensure effective management of all safety incidents to avoid litigation, third party and union intervention
· For any safety incidents, ensure proper investigation, root cause analysis, communication and aggressive action planning and execution to prevent future repeat incidents across any OC locations.
Metrics
· Recordable incident rate (RIR)
· % closure On safety incident corrective actions within 30 days
· Deficiencies in internal H&S audits
· Prevention of the reoccurrence of similar injuries and incidents
9. Training and communication
Ensure thetraining needs are be identified through the development of comprehensive programs.
Facilitatetraining delivery consistent with plant programs and ISO system.
Establishcore skills in Supervisors and NLT members to lead safety training intheir respective areas of responsibility.
Metrics
· 100% completion of monthly training per the environmental and safety training matrix.
· Legislative compliance.
10. The project management

Job Requirements
Experience:
Bachelor degree, major Onenvironmental and safety relate;
At least 5-6 years of experience in EHS function, over 2 years work at building materials andchemical industrial experience;
Rich experience of the EHSmanagement system specials know foreign company EHS model.
Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safetywith 4-5 years of experience in EHS / Extra-ordinary contribution to EHSactivities in the past;
Understanding oflegal requirements from DISH, MPCB, MIDC, and Fire points and knowledge ofrelated documentation is desirable.
